Where in the World Would You Rather Be…?

As another long weekend approaches with forecasts of warm weather ahead, we all started dreaming of summer holidays and travel. Thankfully Conde Nast Traveler recently released their “Gold List” which provided us with some amazing inspiration.

As a slightly ironic nod to the famous Corona beer campaign ‘From Where You’d Rather Be’ we decided to ask some of the team ‘where you would rather be’ (or perhaps go) after the lockdown effects of the Corona virus, and despite varied locations there is a pretty constant theme of – sun, surf and cocktails in our collective global choices.

Milo:
North Island, a Luxury Collection Resort, Seychelles, I am originally from Africa and couldn’t think of a better place to be relaxing on the beach right now. Although we are already in isolation, the sound of a luxury villa situated on a private island with amazing weather sounds pretty idyllic right now.

Francesca:
Mmmm… tough choice! I’m going for Kamalame Cay – it is just so far away and can offer a completely off the grid experience which I think we will all need post-COVID-19. You can be completely unplugged as they offer accommodation without televisions or internet service. Enjoy your own private beaches, over the water spa, snorkelling and scuba diving to your heart’s content…

Janine:
I am going to have to go with Nihi Sumba in Indonesia – how could you not with that stunning view! And wouldn’t mind staying in the three-villa treehouse soaking up the sun with a cocktail in hand!

Lydia:
It would have to be somewhere near the ocean, and in that case, Mexico is looking pretty good at this point! Anywhere you can swim and layout in the sun and drink margaritas all day! One & Only Palmilla, situated on its own little point, in the heart of Los Cabos’s is perfect.

Given returning to “normal” may still be some time off, dreaming and planning should never stop and if the COVID crisis has taught us anything it is that inspiration is the key to keeping a positive mindset.

So whether you are thinking of a personal holiday or even a team incentive destination drop us a line as we would be very happy to share our insights on some of the other truly fantastic destinations in the Conde Nast Travelers “The Best Hotels and Resorts in the World: The 2020 Gold List” #StayInspired
